This Chinese scroll painting features a Cat and Rat and measures 8.5x29 inches. The calligraphy symbols in this painting tell us the cat is not concerned with catching the rat during the daytime, in fact it is not his duty. He is only obligated to catch rats at night and only wants to sleep in the warm spring sun during the day. The Chinese Cat and Rat Painting Wall Scroll is made using Chinese silk brocade and includes a black scroll rod at the bottom which allows this scroll to hang straight on a wall. The Chinese Cat and Rat Painting was hand-painted by Beijing, China artist Pu Shi.
The cat in this painting is enjoying a lazy day in the sun and is not concerned at all with catching the rat who is eating so near to him.
